Nyungwe Forest National Park protects one of East Africa's largest remaining tracts of montane forest, home to chimpanzees and 13 primate species.

Nyungwe Forest National Park covers 1,019 sq km of ancient montane forest in southwestern Rwanda. The forest is one of the most biodiverse in Africa, home to 13 primate species including chimpanzees and large troops of Ruwenzori colobus monkeys that form supergroups of over 300 individuals. The park features East Africa's only canopy walkway, a thrilling 90-meter suspension bridge above the forest floor.
