Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Depart Kigali early morning by private vehicle. Drive to the Uganda border via Cyanika or Katuna, complete immigration formalities, and continue to Bwindi (Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga, or Nkuringo sector, depending on permit allocation). This is a full driving day of approximately 6-8 hours including the border crossing, with a lunch stop en route. Arrive in the late afternoon, check in, and rest ahead of the trek.
