Nyungwe Chimpanzee Trek
The Nyungwe chimpanzee trek is Rwanda’s deep-primate experience: a ranger-guided morning tracking wild troops through one of Africa’s oldest montane rainforests, where 500 chimpanzees share the canopy with 13 primate species — including Ruwenzori colobus — and more than 300 birds. The permit and guiding are handled for you, and Nyungwe’s canopy walk can be added on the same day.
